Health conscious people are spending time to make new and tasty natural homemade snacks. Some people don't know how to make these types of snacks from home. Today, I would like to share very tasty and healthy snack item that is called as 'Coconut Ladoo'. We come to know that its main ingredient is Coconut when hear its name. I am really happy to share this recipe details through this article because this will be very useful to each and every one. 
Coconut ladoo is one of the famous traditional sweet in India. It is very tasty and sweet recipe. We can use this sweet for special North Indians festivals and celebrations such as Diwali and holiday Also we can use this as our evening snacks. Coconut Ladoo is made by fresh coconut so it is good to our health an also it will have the nice smell of pure coconut. Completely it is natural sweets.
I have used Jaggery to get sweet to this recipe. We can prepare this recipe with sugar also but I think jaggery is better than sugar. So this sweet will be chemical free. I have used homemade condensed milk in this recipe so that the main flavour will be the combination of fresh coconut and condensed milk. I used peanuts so we will get peanut taste and crispness when we have it. It is having the mixed smell and taste of coconut,milk and cardamom powder. Coconut ladoo is becoming popular day by day and it is available in so many shops in Kerala. I think that almost everyone has tasted it at least once otherwise we can taste it through this recipe. This is very simple method of preparation and it can make with limited ingredients. Everyone will like this sweet especially children. This is very simple and cost effective recipe. Let us enjoy with this sweet snack in the evening.

Ingredients

Fresh Grated Coconut - 2 cups
Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tab spoon
Cardamon Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Peanuts - 1/4 cup

Method
  • In a pan, Heat ghee and add peanuts and roast it until brown colour and keep it aside in a bowl.
  • In the same pan, add fresh grated coconut, Jaggery and condensed milk and cook it until thick and all the moisture evaporates completely.
  • Then add Cardamom powder and peanuts to it and mix well.
  • Cool the mixture slightly and roll the mixture to balls when it comes down to warm temperature.
  • Then serve it.
Tips
  • You can use sugar syrup to get sweet instead of jaggery and milk made.
  • To get a variety taste you can cook it in coconut milk.
  • You can add cashew nut, kiss miss and almond to get more taste.
  • To store for long term keep it in a airtight dry container.
