Tomato Payasam is one of the special payasam which is made by Tomato.  Payasam is very popular and famous dessert which can make any fruits and vegetables. I think this is entirely different from other payasam because usually we are making some other payasam such as milk payasam and vermicelli payasam. Everyone is considering payasam as the sweet dessert for their celebrations and functions. I have prepared this payasam so many times in my house because they all like this very much. It is very good to serve after lunch and dinner. Usually Tomato is using to prepare different types of curries. But we can made different tasty other dishes with this tasty and healthy tomato. I have used tomato paste to prepare this payasam. This is the combination of tomato paste, roasted rava, roasted oats and roasted aval. This is very sweet and tasty payasam. In this recipe, I have used sugar to get sweet but we can use jaggery also as sweet. I didn't add any types of artificial colour or chemicals in this payasam. It is completely homemade, natural and tasty dish. This is one of the variety dishes. Tomato is very good to our health because it contains minerals and vitamins. It is also helpful to our digestion process and improves immunity power, so that we can add tomato payasam with our food. We can serve it as hot or cold as per our choice. This is very simple recipe and very easy to prepare with very less ingredients. It is homemade, chemical free and cost effective recipe. This recipe is very useful to anyone who wants to try new payasam with new taste. I am really happy to share this recipe to everyone because it is really good to use as a dessert.  It can serve when unexpected guests come into our home. Preparation Time - 10 minutes
Cooking Time - 20 minutes.
Decoration - Kiss miss and cornflakes

Ingredients

Tomato Paste - 3 cups
Water - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Roasted Rava- 1/4 cup
Roasted Oats - 1/4 cup
Roasted Aval - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Milk - 1 1/2 litter
Salt - 1 Pinch

Method
  • Wash Tomato well and put it in a grinder.
  • Make tomato paste with water and put it in a pan.
  • To this add roasted rava, roasted oats and roasted aval and ghee and mix very well.
  • Add 1/2 litter milk to this and mix and cook it well.
  • Then add sugar and remaining milk to this and cook it for 5 minutes under low flame.
  • Then add salt and cardamom powder to this and mix well.
  • Add roasted kiss miss and cornflakes and mix well and serve it.
Tips
  • To get more healthy payasam use jaggery Syrup to get sweet instead of sugar.
  • To get more taste add dried ginger powder with cardamom powder.
  • You can use fried nuts and almond to get more taste and flavour.
