Usually we are making banana fritters in houses for evening snacks. But very less people is making snacks by jackfruit or very less people know how to make jackfruit snacks in houses. Here, I am showing how to make a variety jackfruit snack and its taste is really nice. Jackfruit is one of the favourite fruit for south Indians especially In Kerala and Karnataka. Ripe jackfruit is very sweet and tasty and we are making jackfruit jam and smoothie in houses. This is completely variety recipe and we can make it very easily within 10 minutes. I have found this recipe recently and I made this two times in my house. It was just an experiment and I tried this but I used only plain flour first time and taste was good. But second time I used the mixture of wheat flour, corn flour and rice flour to get variety taste. Its taste was really good comparing first time. It will be crispy after fry and oil will not be there on this snack. It is looking very attractive and also it has yellow colour which gives us tendency to have this special item. To get the mixture flavour of sweet and medium spicy snack we can add a little chilli powder. I have used pure coconut oil so it will have natural and traditional taste. 
It is an excellent combination with very hot black tea so we can enjoy a lot in the evening. Wheat flour is very good for health so this snack will not affect our health. We need not to add any artificial colour or essence to get smell and colour. It is completely natural and healthy evening snacks for everyone especially for children. This recipe will be very helpful to mothers those who have children because they can make a very tasty snack for children with very less efforts. It will be very good if we use fresh and natural jackfruit. I and my family members are like this snack very much. We can use it as a special item for guests also. Everyone can enjoy a lot with this snack in the evening very well.

Ingredients

Ripe Jackfruit Flesh - 25
Wheat Flour - 1/4 cup
Corn Flour - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 1/4 cup
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Coconut Oil - As required
Water - As required

Method
  • Remove the seeds of ripe jackfruit and cut in half and keep it aside.
  • In a bowl, add wheat flour, corn flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, sugar and salt and mix it well by using spoon. 
  • To this pour water as required and make medium loose batter and keep it aside.
  • In a pan, pour coconut oil as required to fry and heat well.
  • Then jackfruit flesh mix with batter and put it in a heated coconut oil and fry both sides well.
  • Then put it in another pot with tissue paper.
  • Then transfer it in a serving bowl after removing excess coconut oil and serve it as evening snack with hot black tea.
Tips
  • We can use jaggery syrup to get sweet instead of sugar.
  • We can use pepper powder also to get spiciness.
  • To get more taste and smell we can use cardamom powder.
