Ingredients

Raw Mango - 2
Green Chilli - 5
Shallots - 10
Onion - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - As required for cooking

Method

  • Peel Raw Mango and wash well and cut it as thin and lengthy pieces.
  • Remove the peel of both Shallots and Onion and wash well and chop well.
  • Wash Green Chilli well and chop it.
  • Put Grated Coconut, Turmeric Powder, chopped Green Chilli, Chopped Onion, chopped Shallots, Cumin Seeds, Curry Leaves and Salt and crush well.
  • In a pan, add Raw Mango pieces and Crushed Mixture and mix well.
  • To this add Salt and Water as required and mix well.
  • Cover the pan with lid and cook it well under medium flame.
  • Pour Coconut Oil into this when Water evaporates completely and mix well.
  • Turn off the fire and serve it hot in a serving bowl with hot Rice.
Tips
  • Don't use Raw Mango with high sour taste to make this dish.
  • You can splutter Mustard Seeds if you need.
  • Cumin Seed is optional ingredients so use it if you like its flavour.
  • Adjust the quantity of Green Chilli as per your taste and needs.
