Many puddings are there in today world so everyone has tasted at least one pudding in life. Its popularity is increasing day by day because usage is increasing. I have made many puddings in my home because I like this very much. We can make pudding with any types of fruits and vegetables. Pudding is serving as the main dessert for special celebrations such as wedding Celebrations and birthday Celebrations. Earlier we were serving Payasam as the main dessert but now pudding serving as the main dessert after lunch and dinner. Its taste will change based on the fruits and the essence we are using to make it. All pudding will be sweet and soft and also have very cooling effect. These are better to use in summer season or when we tired. Today, I would like to share very tasty, healthy and homemade Beetroot Jelly Pudding. Its main ingredient is Beetroot which can identify from its name. I am really happy to share this recipe to all because its taste is really good and nice.
Beetroot jelly Pudding is very cool, soft and sweet dessert that is prepared by Beetroot. Main Ingredient of this dessert is Beetroot. Beetroot is available on market at cheapest rate so that we can prepare this dessert cost effective. We can serve it after lunch or dinner. It is very good in summer season because it is very cool dessert. I have used strawberry essence in this pudding so that Beetroot flavour will change. We can use gelatin to set pudding very well after that we can cut it very easily. We can use this dessert for decoration or layers of ice cream, cake or fresh cream. It is very simple and essay recipe and colour of this dessert is very attractive. Beetroot has natural colour so that we need not to add any food colours. This recipe is very useful for anyone who needs to homemade healthy pudding and it will be very special for kids and guests. Let us enjoy with this tasty dessert.

Preparation Time - 10 minutes
Cooking Time - 25 minutes


Beetroot - 2
Water - 4 Cups
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Gelatin - 1 1/2 tab spoon
Strawberry Essence - 1/2 teaspoon
Honey - 2 teaspoon
Cold Water - 1/4 cup

  • Remove peel of Beetroot and steam well and paste it well.
  • Then add 3 cups water to it and strain the extract or Juice.
  • Add sugar in 1 cup water and make sugar syrup.
  • Add gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water and leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Then double boil it and melt well.
  • Add  melted gelatin  to beetroot extract and stir well.
  • Then add sugar syrup and strawberry essence to it and mix well.
  • Transfer to pudding tray and keep it in freezer to set well.
  • Then cut it and serve. 
  • Paste beetroot after steam it well.
  • It is better to add lime juice when make sugar syrup.
  • Add honey after pudding became cool.
  • You can use food colour if you need more colour.
  • You can add any flavour essence to make this pudding.

Red Cowpeas - 1 Cup
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chopped Shallots - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - As required for cooking


Sock Red Cowpeas in Water overnight and wash it well next day.Peel the skin of Onion and wash well and chop it.Wash Green Chilli and slice it thin and lengthy.Take a pan and put Red Cowpeas, chopped Onion, sliced Green Chilli, some Curry Leaves, Salt and enough Water to cooking and cover it and cook well.Heat a small pan and heat Coconut Oil and splutter Mustard seeds in it.Then add chopped Shallots and Curry Leaves and fry well.Turn down the fire and add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder and saute well until remove raw smell.Add cooked Red Cowpeas into this and mix well.…
