SAPOTA (CHIKOO) MILK SHAKE

Sapota or Chikoo is natural and fresh fruit which contains a lot of health benefits. We all know about its taste and it is our favourite fruit. It helps to improve immunity powder of the human body, Increase skin glow, help to kill free radicals and very useful to prevent heart disorders. We can use this fruit on daily basis either directly or making different dishes. I can't express its benefits in words because it is unlimited. Today I would like to share the recipe of Sapota Milk shake which is familiar for everyone. I know that everyone know about its taste so I need not to explain about that. But only some people know about its method of preparation so I am here with this sweet milk shake details.
Sapota milk shake is very easy milk shake and very tasty and it is one of the highly demanded milk shake in shops and restaurants. Chikkoo or Sapota is a natural sweet fresh fruit which is available in almost all houses in Kerala and also will get it from market at cheapest price. Its taste is very sweet taste and everyone likes this fruit very much. Sapota is my favourite fruit so I have made this milk shake so many times in my house. It is very thick milk shake and can use it in both summer season and winter season. We can make it very cost effective at home very easily and it is very healthy milk shake. I think everyone used this milk shake from shop but very less people tried to make it at home. Here, I am showing how to make it at home. Sapota fruit became very famous and popular because of this milk shake. It is mainly used by both north Indians and south Indian. I have used honey to get sweet instead of sugar to get natural milk shake but we can use sugar also. I have used cinnamon powder to get good flavour and variety taste. To get much colder milk shake we can use frozen milk to blend. We need not to add any essence to this milk shake. This tasty milk shake is mostly liked by children and it is one of the super energy booster milk shake to everyone.

Preparation Time - 5 minutes

Ingredients

Sapota - 5
Milk - 1/2 litter
Ice Cubes - 3
Cinnamon Powder - 1 pinch
Honey - 4 Tab spoon

Method
  • Remove the peel of Sapota and remove the seeds and wash it well and keep it aside.
  • In a pan, boil milk and and keep it in freezer for some times to get cold.
  • In a blender, add Sapota, milk and ice cubes and blend it well.
  • To this add honey and cinnamon powder and blend it well for 1 minute.
  • Transfer it in a serving glass and serve it.
Tips
  • You can use cardamom powder instead of using cinnamon powder.
  • Use sugar to get sweet instead of using honey.
  • You have to drink milkshake with freshness.
  • If you keep it in fridge after preparation its freshness will lost.

Ingredients

Red Cowpeas - 1 Cup
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chopped Shallots - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - As required for cooking

Method

Sock Red Cowpeas in Water overnight and wash it well next day.Peel the skin of Onion and wash well and chop it.Wash Green Chilli and slice it thin and lengthy.Take a pan and put Red Cowpeas, chopped Onion, sliced Green Chilli, some Curry Leaves, Salt and enough Water to cooking and cover it and cook well.Heat a small pan and heat Coconut Oil and splutter Mustard seeds in it.Then add chopped Shallots and Curry Leaves and fry well.Turn down the fire and add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder and saute well until remove raw smell.Add cooked Red Cowpeas into this and mix well.…
