CARAMELIZED BANANA

We all are using different types of snacks in the evening with hot Tea or cold juices. Making tasty snack is the difficult task for mothers because they have to make tasty and fresh snacks for their children. In this modern world everybody needs different and new variety tastes including children. Children need sweet snacks when they coming back from school. Someone is using ready-made packets snacks from outside because they don't know how to make these types of snacks from home. But we can make variety and new snacks in houses by using different tasty ingredients based on our preferences. I am also using some snacks in the evening but using same snacks is getting irritated so I found new tasty snack recipe today.  I need to share this new snack details through this article. I am really happy to share this to everyone. This dish will be very helpful to everyone especially those who like sweet and tasty snacks.
Banana is one of the favourite natural fruit for almost everyone. It has been cultivating in Kerala for income and homely needs. It is using in all states and counties. Ripe banana is very tasty fruit and we can make different tasty dishes by using both ripe and raw banana. Raw banana is mainly using to make curries for the side dish with lunch and dinner. It is also mixing with non-vegetarian dishes such as beef and chicken. Ripe banana also is very useful and you can make tasty dishes with this. Banana payasam, banana milk shake and banana ice cream are the main dishes of raw banana. Banana contains potassium and magnesium. This fruit is very useful to our skin glow and it helps to reduce wrinkles. It can use daily to get its complete health benefits. It is very tasty and sweet which can make at home very easily. It has entirely different taste because it has the combined flavour of cinnamon powder and butter and also it has vanilla essence smell. We can use it as only caramelized banana or can fill it in pancake and use it. Both are very tasty and really good. I am making this snack some times in my house. Everyone can enjoy with this recipe very much.

Preparation Time - 5 minutes
Cooking Time - 15 minutes

Ingredients

Banana - 2
Butter - 1 tab spoon
Honey - 1 tab spoon
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Vanilla essence - 1/4 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1 pinch

Method

  • Remove the peel of banana and slice it as 1/4 inch thick pieces.
  • In a pan, add butter, honey and sugar and melt it.
  • To this add cinnamon powder and salt and mix well.
  • Then add sliced banana to this and fry both sides of banana under low flame.
  • Turn off the fire when it became caramelized and stir well.
  • Then serve it in a serving bowl.
Tips

  • You can fry banana in ghee or any other vegetable oil instead of using butter.
  • It will be very tasty if you use cardamom powder instead of using vanilla essence.

RED COWPEAS COCONUT MILK STIR FRY

Preparation Time - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time - 25 Minutes

Ingredients

Red Cowpeas - 1 Cup
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chopped Shallots - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - As required for cooking

Method

Sock Red Cowpeas in Water overnight and wash it well next day.Peel the skin of Onion and wash well and chop it.Wash Green Chilli and slice it thin and lengthy.Take a pan and put Red Cowpeas, chopped Onion, sliced Green Chilli, some Curry Leaves, Salt and enough Water to cooking and cover it and cook well.Heat a small pan and heat Coconut Oil and splutter Mustard seeds in it.Then add chopped Shallots and Curry Leaves and fry well.Turn down the fire and add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder and saute well until remove raw smell.Add cooked Red Cowpeas into this and mix well.…
