KING FISH PEPPER FRY

Fish dishes are favourite items for non-vegetarians and Fish fry is the famous and popular fish dish. I would like to have fish fry as the side dish with Rice for lunch. Every house will have different fish dishes on daily basis. South Indians can't avoid fish from their daily day life so they are buying it. We can see very much crown in front of fish market. Everyone is very much busy to buy fish dishes in hotels in lunch time and they are not at all bothering about the cost. So demand of Fish is increasing day by day. We can make Fish fry in different ways by changing ingredients and its taste will change based on the ingredients which we used. Today I would like to share very tasty fish fry which is called as Fish Pepper Fry. We can identify that Pepper Powder is the main ingredient for this dish from this name.
It is one of the tasty and spicy fish fry. I have used king fish but you can use any kind of fish whatever you need. Black pepper is the main specialty of this spicy fish fry and main flavour will be pepper flavour. Pepper is very good to health and its taste will be very nice and variety. I have used pasted masala to marinate fish easily. I have made this very healthy because I didn't use more oil to fry this. Mainly it is served as the side dish of rice for lunch and dinner.  I know that everyone will like this fish fry very much including children. I have followed traditional method to make this so it will be very easy and taste also will be very nice. It is one of the highly demanded fish fry in restaurants. Usually I am making this dish at home because everyone likes this fish fry very much.

Preparation Time - 15 minutes
Cooking Time - 15 minutes

Ingredients

King Fish - 500 gm
Shallot - 5
Ginger - 1
Green Chilli - 3
Garlic - 3
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1 tab spoon
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Lemon Juice - 1 Tab Spoon
Water - 1 Tab Spoon
Coconut Oil - 5 Tab spoon
Salt - To taste

Method
  • Clean and wash fish gently and cut it as round shape pieces and keep it aside.
  • In a blender, add shallot, ginger, green chilli, garlic, turmeric powder, pepper powder, curry leaves, water and salt and make it paste.
  • To this add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Marinate fish pieces with this masala paste and leave it for 15 minutes.
  • In a pan, heat oil and add fish pieces and fry both sides of fish.
  • Then transfer it in a serving bowl and serve it.
Tips
  • It will be tasty if you use Coconut Paste when you make masala for this Fish Fry.
  • To softness of Fish use a little Vinegar to masala.
  • Wash Fish with Vinegar to remove the bad smell of Fish.
  • Add Plain Flour on the pan first to get good fish fry.

Ingredients

Red Cowpeas - 1 Cup
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chopped Shallots - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - As required for cooking

Method

Sock Red Cowpeas in Water overnight and wash it well next day.Peel the skin of Onion and wash well and chop it.Wash Green Chilli and slice it thin and lengthy.Take a pan and put Red Cowpeas, chopped Onion, sliced Green Chilli, some Curry Leaves, Salt and enough Water to cooking and cover it and cook well.Heat a small pan and heat Coconut Oil and splutter Mustard seeds in it.Then add chopped Shallots and Curry Leaves and fry well.Turn down the fire and add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder and saute well until remove raw smell.Add cooked Red Cowpeas into this and mix well.…
