Preparation Time - 15 Minutes

Cauliflower - 500 gm
Onion - 1
Shallots - 10
Chopped Garlic - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Dried Red Chilli - 2
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut Oil - 2 tab spoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Salt - To Taste
Water - Required for cooking.


  • Cut Cauliflower as pieces and put it in a pot and add Water and Salt and mix well and leave it for 10/minutes.
  • Then wash it well for 3 times and keep it aside.
  • Remove the peels of Onion and Shallots and wash well and chop it.
  • Wash Red Chillies and cut it as pieces and crush it.
  • Heat a pan and heat 1 tab spoon Coconut Oil and splutter Mustard Seeds.
  • To this add chopped Garlic and fry it well.
  • Add chopped Onion and Shallots and saute well until Brown colour.
  • Add crushed dried Red Chilli and saute well.
  • Add Curry Leaves into this and stir well.
  • Turn down the fire and add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder and saute well.
  • Add washed Cauliflower pieces and Salt to taste and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Pour a little Water into this and cover it and cook it well under medium flame.
  • Pour 1 tab spoon Coconut Oil into this and mix well and make it fry as desired.
  • Add Fennel Seeds powder and Garam Masala Powder at last and mix well and turn off the fire.
  • Transfer it in a serving bowl and decorate with some fresh Curry Leaves and serve it hot with Chapati, Appam and hot Rice.
  • Sock Cauliflower in Water for 1 hour if you have time.
  • To get freshness and white colour for Cauliflower add some Turmeric Powder, Vinegar and Salt in Water to sock.
  • Its taste will increase if add more quantity of Shallots.
  • To get better taste add some Coconut Slices.
  • You can add sliced Tomato if you need.
  • You can adjust the spices as per your taste.
  • Cumin Powder also is useful to get good flavour.
