I have used Sugarcane juice many times from juice shops. Now a day Sugarcane juice is there in everywhere and its popularity is increasing day by day due to its usage. It became very popular recently and it is mainly using when we tired or feeling hungry. We can get Ginger flavour and Lime Juice flavour Sugarcane juice in some places. But mainly it is preparing by adding both Ice Water and Sugarcane. This is the first time I made juice with this sweet Sugarcane at home because we can't buy Sugarcane from market. Today, I got it from my aunts house so I decided to make juice. To get some variety feelings and taste I added Cucumber as the combination with this sweet Sugarcane. I like Cucumber very much because it can give cooling effect. We can't get good Green colour if make juice only with Sugarcane but here I got nice and attractive Green colour because of Cucumber. It is really tasty cool drink and we will be very tired in this time so it is very useful to drink. To get body cooling we have to use any types of cool drinks and it will be better if use homemade drinks. This drink is having the mixed taste of sweet and sour taste and also has great cooling effect. This Green colour is giving more attraction to our eyes. Sugarcane also contains many health benefits. Sugarcane has Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Iron and it also has more quantity of Vitamin C. Cucumber is also healthy vegetable and it is mainly used for making salad and pickle. I can say that it is really good and healthy juice without any doubts. Sugarcane has natural sweet taste. I can't get it from my place so I became very happy when I got it. Its taste is entirely different from other juices. This will be very useful those who likes to drink fresh juices. You need to drink it immediately after preparation to get exact taste. Let us enjoy this hot season with this tasty and healthy cool juice.

Preparation Time - 5 Minutes
Cooking Time - 3 Minutes

Ingredients

Sugarcane - 1 big piece
Cucumber - 1
Lemon - 1
Honey - 1 teaspoon
Chilled Water - 1/4 Cup
Salt - 1 Pinch

Method
  • Take a big piece Sugarcane and remove its outer peels and cut it as small pieces.
  • Wash Cucumber well and cut it as small pieces.
  • Squeeze Lemon and strain its extract through strainer.
  • In a blender, add chopped Sugarcane and chopped Cucumber and blend it well.
  • To this add Lime Juice, Honey, chilled Water and Salt and blend well.
  • Strain it through strainer and pour it in a serving glass and serve it fresh and cold.
Tips
  • Honey is optional ingredient so you can avoid it if you need.
  • You can use Sugar to get sweet instead Honey.
  • If you need any flavour use Cardamom Powder or Cinnamon Powder.
  • You can use any fruit essence if you need.
  • You can add some extra Green food colour if you need more Green colour.
  • It will be very tasty if add Ginger.
  • You can add 2 or 3 Ice Cubes when serve this juice.
  • You have to use it immediately after preparation to get freshness and exact taste.

RED COWPEAS COCONUT MILK STIR FRY

Preparation Time - 10 Minutes Cooking Time - 25 Minutes Ingredients Red Cowpeas - 1 Cup Onion - 1 Green Chilli - 1 Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil - 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon Chopped Shallots - 1 teaspoon Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs Salt - To Taste Water - As required for cooking Method Sock Red Cowpeas in Water overnight and wash it well next day.
