Preparation Time - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time - 15 Minutes


Sardine Fish - 1/2 Kg
Garlic Paste - 1 teaspoon
Ginger Paste - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder - 1 teaspoon
Bird's Eye Chilli Paste - 1 teaspoon
Curry Leaves Paste - 1 teaspoon
Coconut Oil - As required for cooking
Salt - To Taste
Water - As Required for cooking

  • Clean Sardine Fish well and remove both head and tail and wash well for 3 or 4 times and make slit on both sides and keep it aside.
  • In a small bowl, add Garlic Paste, Ginger Paste, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Black Pepper Powder, Bird's Eye Chilli Paste and Curry leaves paste and make it thick paste with Salt and Water.
  • Marinate Fish with this paste and leave it for sometimes.
  • Heat a frying pan and pour some Coconut Oil and keep Fish on the pan and pour some Coconut Oil on the fish and fry both sides under medium flame.
  • Turn off the fire and serve it in a serving bowl with hot Rice.
  • To increase the taste of this dish add some Vinegar or Lime Juice to the masala paste.
  • To remove the bad smell of Sardine Fish wash it with some Salt.
